Inner child work can be a powerful and transformative process and we invite you to nurture yourself in a safe space.
Inner child work focuses on healing the wounded inner child. The inner child is the part of us that was hurt or neglected during childhood. This can happen due to a variety of factors, such as abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When the inner child is wounded, it can lead to a number of problems in adulthood, such as low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.
Jennifer will teach our participants how to create a unique and powerful vision board for their inner child. This activity is meant to help nurture the wounded child and allow yourself to change the narrative of your past. Jennifer will also guide participants through a powerful journaling exercise where she will prompt group members to write and release emotions pertaining to their inner child. This can be a very emotional experience and we encourage "releasing" to be able to let go and move on.
Inner child work can help us to heal the wounds of our inner child and to develop a more loving and compassionate relationship with ourselves. This can lead to a number of benefits, such as:
- Increased self-esteem
- Reduced anxiety and depression
- Improved relationships
- Increased creativity and productivity
- Increased sense of well-being
Items needed for this event:
- Journal (or paper)
- Pen
- Poster board (optional), blank paper, magazines, (1-3) pictures of yourself as a child, scissors, markers, colored pens, tape, glue, or anything you'd like to add to your board.
